How the PI Printers Affiliate Program Works — Step by Step

Last week we introduced the PI Printers Affiliate Program — a free way to sell branded merchandise from your own website without holding stock. This week, we’re breaking down exactly how it works, from the moment you choose a product to the moment it lands on your customer’s doorstep.

Let’s use a t-shirt as a worked example, since it’s the easiest way to see the whole journey in action.

Step by Step: From Blank T-Shirt to Delivered Order

1. Choose the product. Pick a t-shirt (or any product from the PI Printers range) and select the colour and size options you want to offer.
2. Upload your own artwork. Add your logo, design, or brand artwork exactly as you want it printed. This is your product — your brand, your design.
3. Set your own selling price. You’ll see our cost price. Add your mark-up on top to set the price your customers pay — and that mark-up is yours to keep, on every sale.
4. We approve the design and details. Our team checks the artwork and specifications to make sure everything is production-ready and print-quality, protecting both your brand and ours.
5. It goes live on your website. Once approved, the product appears on your site, ready for your customers to buy — no extra development work required on your end.
6. Your customer orders — we take it from there. The order is pushed straight through to PI Printers. We print it, quality-check it, and deliver it — to your customer directly, or to you if you prefer to hand it over yourself.

What You Never Have to Do

• Hold stock. Nothing is printed until a customer has already paid for it.
• Own printing equipment. Every order runs through our in-house production floor.
• Manage delivery. We handle fulfilment, whether the order is local, cross-border into the rest of Africa, or international.
• Chase quality control. Every design is checked and approved before it ever goes live.

A Note on Approval

The approval step exists to protect everyone. It makes sure artwork is print-ready (so there are no surprises when it comes off the printer) and that pricing and product details are set up correctly before your customers ever see the listing. It typically doesn’t hold things up for long — it’s simply there so what goes live is right the first time.
